FIRE DOOR DEFECT SURVEYS

At Myed Fire, we will conduct a thorough fire door survey to ensure that all fire doors in your building are functioning correctly and provide adequate protection in the event of a fire. Our surveyor will inspect every fire door for any signs of damage and wear and tear, including the door frames, hinges, locks, glazing, and seals. The surveyor will also verify if the fire doors have the correct labels and signage. The surveyor will conduct a detailed assessment of each door, considering its type and location in the building.

We will provide a detailed report on the condition of each fire door, highlighting any defects or issues that need to be addressed. The report will also include recommendations for repair or replacement of any faulty doors.

The report should then be considered alongside the fire risk assessment to identify which issues need to be addressed in accordance with the reasonably practicable approach defined in the legislation.
